Sydney here I come... As of July 20th I will be on a plane to Sydney, Australia to begin a brand new art adventure. I will be making the big move out of lovely Brighton to Sydney and putting together a new studio and staking out some cool new galleries, while of course taking a bit of time for some sun and surf. In Other News: It's been an interesting year and a half full of ups and downs. On the up side I've been invited to participate in some amazing exhibitions and projects in the past year including being given a room to exhibit my pattern series during the NEF Festival of Interdependence at Oxo Tower along side Human Powered Machines; Participating in a brilliant exhibition exploring the place of humour in contemporary art titled 'it's not funny' in Leeds; The aptly titled 'Danger' exhibition in Brick Lane; Opus Gallery in Newcastle will have a selection of my Super Villains in stock at the gallery from mid July so if you are in the area and fancy a spot of shopping drop in and ask to have a look at them. Limited Edition Prints - I am planning a limited edition giclee print run of a selection of my White Noise series. I will be working with one of the UK's top specialists Eye4Colour to produce an archival quality series that maintains the vibrancy and nuances of the original work. Prints will be available to purchase here in the UK for a very reasonable price through a selection of retailers. Hot off the easel - Daggerin

Definition: Daggerin verb
a term or phrase that is popular in the dancehall and / or in the lyrics of Jamaican deejays and singers. What is daggering? Some call it “dry sex” on the dance floor of a dance or party, but daggering is where a man and woman are dancing in a sexually provocative manner, which usually includes them simulating various sexual positions, and often times, rough sex, to the beat of whatever music is playing at the time. In recent times, dancehall artistes RDX and Mr. Vegas have both released daggering songs in tribute to the newly accepted name for an action / activity that has been present in Jamaica’s dancehalls for many years.

Jamaica News: No party permits, say police
When THE WEEKEND STAR spoke to Derrick 'Cowboy' Knight, head of the Half-Way Tree police, he explained that for his division, no permission for events held after 6 p.m. would be granted. He said: "The regulations during this time clearly speak to no gatherings until things go back to normal, then persons are to apply 10 days before the event for permits." A month-long state of emergency was called on Sunday, May 23. Last Wednesday, a curfew was also imposed on sections of the Corporate Area.
Since the unrest in Kingston, a number of events had to be postponed due to the violence and the state of emergency. Events such as Levels, Equilibrium, Good Times, Wet Sundaze, among others were postponed until further notice.
According to the promoter, a number of patrons were upset by the postponement but they are expecting a large turnout for the 'Girls Gone Wild' edition on June 20. "We're expecting high energy and an even bigger turnout," the promoter commented.
